Events
Throughout the year, the Church is host to a variety of public events. These include concerts from a range of local musical groups, our annual Flower Festival, and seasonal events including Christmas on the Hill and our much-loved Carols by Candlelight. Past concerts include the Avon and Somerset Constabulary Male Voice Choir, Redland Wind Band and Bristol Fashion Ladies Barbershop Chorus.

​Christmas on the Hill
Saturday 29th November, 10 am - 3.30 pm. Free entry
Christmas on the Hill is back in Staple Hill and this year the Church will be once again with a variety of seasonal stalls, music, Santa's Grotto and much more. ​This year there will be a walk-round quiz for the children and a new stall, 'Christmas Presents for adults and children', where all the gifts will be new, or very nearly new, and we hope you will find a present or two to buy for a family member or friend, at a reasonable cost to yourself. ​There will be a Santa's Grotto from 10 am - 3 pm (Information and early booking available here).. Refreshments will be available to purchase all through the day with selection of homemade cakes, filled rolls, and FairTrade tea and coffee. Cash or card payment available.
Carols and Steam at Bitton Railway Station
Saturday 6th December, arrive by 6.45 pm
Experience and evening ride on the steam train at Bitton Railway Station, sing some carols accompanied by the Bristol East & Kingswood Brass Band, and enjoy some warming seasonal refreshment. Coffee Morning and Carol Singing

A Christmas coffee morning with Carol Singing and mince pies. Raising money for Action of Children

Carols by Candlelight
Saturday 21st December, 6 pm
Get in the festive spirit with a traditional, candle lit carol service at Staple Hill Methodist Church. The service with be led by the Church Christmas choir with a variety of traditional carols. Tea, coffee and mince pies will be available after.

Concert - Kris Knock Big Band
Saturday 28th February, 7.30 pm, £10 on the door (Cash or card accepted)
The Kris Knock Big Band are back in concert at Staple Hill Methodist Church. They are a 'dynamic 17 piece ensemble bringing the vibrant energy of modern big band jazz to life in the South West'. In this concert they will be diving into a mix of upbeat swing, foot-tapping jazz, and a few surprises along the way - the perfect way to kick off your weekend. Concert - Bristol Little Big Band

We welcome the Staple Hill Methodist Church the Bristol Little Big Band who are a '10-piece community ensemble offering big band tunes on a smaller scale. The group plays an upbeat mix of swing, latin and pop tunes arranged in a classic big band style'. To find out more about the band, go their website.
