Room Hire

The Church is available for hire throughout the year for weddings, baptisms and funerals. We also have two rooms below the church which are available for private events and community groups. Other facilities include a servery in the Church, kitchen downstairs and use of the organ. See below for photos and more details of the spaces available.

Access:

All spaces are accessible for wheelchair users. An accessible toilet is located downstairs.

A hearing loop is installed in the Church and large print hymn books are available.

 

Alcohol:

In accordance with the Methodist Church guidelines, alcohol cannot be brought onto the premises.

Parking: 

We do not have onsite parking. Street parking is available on the High Street and there are carparks nearby.  More information can be found on our contact page

The Church

​

The Church has a traditional Methodist interior with wooden pew seating, pulpit, choir stalls and organ. Recently added glazed doors provide a vibrant welcome into the Church vestible alongside a new servery space for teas and coffees. 

 

The Church is ideal for weddings, baptisms and funerals but can also be hired for private events such as school services and concerts.

Access: Ramped approach to the main entrance. Flexible seating to the front of the church

Price: £150 per session

The Main Hall

 

The main hall is our largest, multipurpose space downstairs (100 m2). It is ideal for birthday parties, wakes, meetings and for use by community groups. For example this space is used by Scouting and Guiding groups as well church lunches and Christmas markets, 

 

This room comes with moveable seating (72 chairs) allowing for flexible use of the room. Use of tables can also be arranged as well as access to the kitchen. For regular group users, storage can be arranged. Unfortunately, the stage cannot be used.

Price: £20 per hour

The Wesley Room

 

This is our smallest available room downstairs (40 m2). Like the main hall, it is suitable for parties, meetings and groups but on a reduced scale. 

​

This room comes with moveable seating (34 chairs) allowing for flexible use of the room. Use of tables can also be arranged as well as access to the kitchen. For regular group users, storage can be arranged. 

 

Access: Ramped approach down the side lane. Accessible toilet available.

Price: £15 per hour

Other charges

​

  • Use of organ: £35 per hour

  • Organist for funerals: £50

  • Kitchen for cooking: £12.50

​

Use by Church members:

  • 50% discount for social use (not business)

  • Functions downstairs linked to a service - donations only
